Pineapple Corer - A Simple Tool for Sweetness

I used to hate pineapples due to getting uncomfortable tongue feeling after consuming caused by the acidic content.  Now, with more and better varieties in the market, I simply grow to love them.  Pineapples, especially big and juicy ones, are common on the supermarket shelves.  Honey pineapples are one of my favourites due to its sweetness, juiciness and full of fibre.

In order to save time, we normally patronize the cut-fruit stalls for a tiny sweet and juicy (if you are lucky) piece.  It is costly ($0.60-$1.00) and 1 piece is not satisfying enough.  So getting the whole pineapple ($1.00-$3.50) for yourself and family can solve the problem, but cutting it can be an unwelcoming chore.  It is so time-consuming and troublesome.  The result is either compromising by also eating some of the “eyes” as it is tough to rid them, or the remaining flesh after cutting can be 40% smaller due to being “squeezed”.
Use a corer!  As seen on TV and search all over for it, I finally found it!  Now it is in Singapore and wow, can’t believe how good it is.

I just need to position the corer properly, follow by turning the handle and "screwing" down the pineapple core.  In less than 10 minutes, I can have the juicy flesh for my enjoyment!  I can also present it nicely for my guests.  A bonus, the skin can be used as a bowl to store fruit cocktails or pineapple rice!  Yummy!
